Mask and Machine (2).jpg

Configuration Options

A sleep therapy setup involves a machine and a mask, each sold separately. For machines, we offer CPAP and BiPAP machines each with and without humidifiers.

CPAP or BiPAP? BiPAP is more beneficial when there is hypoventilation in addition to sleep apnea, and some find them more comfortable. However, BiPAP machines are more expensive than CPAP machines.

Humidifier? The humidifier helps relieve nose and throat dryness and nasal congestion. The humidifier is recommended for most customers.

Modem? We also offer these devices with or without modems. Modems allow our sleep physician to remotely monitor your progress and adjust pressure to make the treatment most effective and comfortable during the crucial first month.

FAQs

Why do I need a prescription?

PAPs and masks are categorized as class II devices by the FDA and thus require a prescription for distribution.

What if my prescription is not approved?

If the questionnaire deems you ineligible for a prescription and you have already ordered, we will cancel the order at no cost to you. If you think you made a mistake on the questionnaire, you may submit a new one.

Can I pay with installments?

It is possible to pay in installments using Afterpay, please see our blog post for guidance.

Do I need to fill out the questionnaire for every order?

You only need one approved prescription from a questionnaire to order machines. The prescription will apply to all future CPAP, BiPAP, and mask purchases.

What if I already have a prescription from somewhere else?

Email us your prescription form! We will review it and send you an approval message and then you can begin buying PAPs.

Do you accept FSA/HSA cards?

CPAPs and related supplies are eligible health care expenses so you may use them to purchase or reimburse orders on this site. If you need a prescription, we will send you one on request after purchase.

In case the order form does not accept your FSA or HSA card for any reason, you may instead save your receipt and submit it to your provider for reimbursement. If you choose this method, please make sure your FSA/HSA spending amount covers this purchase.

What if I did not fill out a questionnaire?

If you ordered a PAP and have not yet filled out your questionnaire, we will send a reminder email to do so. If we do not receive and approve a filled out questionnaire, we will take no payment.

Can I pay for equipment with health insurance?

While we used to pilot a program that allowed our customers to purchase equipment with insurance, we have discontinued the offering.
